The Christian Service Center has an extensive history with Oakcrest Church of Christ and our leadership has overseen ministry at this location for many years.

Beginning in 2020 the Christian Service Center started functioning as an extension of the ministry efforts at Cross & Crown. The Christian Service Center is made up of Luke Whitmire, Ivan Gonzalez, Courtney Sullivan, and a collection of volunteers from Oakcrest and other partnering churches who serve in their ongoing effort to build relationships, meet needs, and share the love of Jesus with those around them.

Ivan and Diana Gonzalez became part of Oakcrest’s missionary families in 2015 and are parents of twins, Ezekiel and Genesis. Ivan began serving alongside Luke in 2020 and helps oversee ministry operations, provides support to volunteers, and facilitates ministry needs as necessary.

“Our desire is to tell, experience, and share the goodness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ with those around us. This desire of ours expresses itself in both word and deed.

Through shared time and relationship with those who come for assistance, we present the Gospel message in the words we speak and in the ways we serve. Whether it be during our daily time of prayer and scripture reading, the groceries we provide, or the clothing made available to all in need, our desire is to share the love, hope, and mercy of Jesus Christ through service and prayer.”
